Racine Man Died Trying To Save Woman In Lake: Report

A 33-year-old Racine man died Sunday after authorities say he jumped into the water to save a woman who fell of an inner tube.

CRAWFORD COUNTY, WI β€” A 33-year-old Racine man has died after authorities say he tried saving one of two women who fell into an inland lake in Indiana.

According to a WRTV report, Travis Ray S. Martin disappeared under the water of Patoka Lake just before 3 p.m. Sunday as he, along with several others, jumped overboard to save two women who fell off an inner tube that was being towed behind their boat.

The report state that authorities ruled Martin's death as an accidental drowning. Both women were ultimately rescued Sunday.
